(CONNECT) DSM-Firmenich, a Swiss-Dutch company specializing in nutrition, health and beauty with Swiss headquarters in Kaiseraugst, will be presenting its immersive fragrance sensory experience Connect:Future You at the Art:1 New Museum in Jakarta from 4 to 15 August. Through Connect:Future You, DSM-Firmenich hopes to bring inspiration in fragrance and technologies to Indonesian customers. “With Connect: Future You, we are investing boldly and creatively in Southeast Asia’s fragrance future, starting with Indonesia — a market of immense potential and cultural richness,” said Levenza Toh, Vice President, Regional Consumer Brands, Southeast Asia, Japan & Korea, Perfumery & Beauty.
According to a press release, the insights from DSM-Firmenich’s proprietary research reveal that wearing a fragrance has the power to evoke emotions and move consumers through different moments of life. Connect: Future You invites visitors to immerse themselves in a narrative where art, scent and self-expression converge in the mixed media installation “The Forest and Its Fragrance” and to explore the future of fragrance for consumers, as both experience and exhibition. “The Forest and its Fragrance” is the vision of Indonesian artist Yawara, reimagining the forest as a spiritual and emotional landscape that invites viewers to reconnect through scent, emotion, and tactile presence. “The artist came to me with her vision: a forest, not of trees, but of batik — hand-dyed textiles suspended in space like living foliage,” explained DSM-Firmenich Perfumer Alessandro Croce.
Connect:Future You highlights local Indonesian ingredients and their impact on fragrance creation through 22 original fragrances crafted by global and local perfumers. ce/ja
