Green looks to expand with new investor
(CONNECT) The Green Group AG has a new investor. As detailed in a press release, the IFM Global Infrastructure Fund (IFM), which is advised by IFM Investors, has acquired the ICT service provider from Lupfig in the Swiss canton of Aargau and its subsidiaries from the previous investor InfraVia European Fund III, which is managed by InfraVia Capital Partners, with effect from October 30, 2025.
With this transaction, IFM will reportedly take on a leading role in the implementation of the company’s growth strategy. The focus here is on “investing, protecting and growing the long-term retirement savings of working people”, as Deepa Bharadwaj, Head of Infrastructure Europe at IFM Investors, explains in the press release.
Green is a provider of georedundant high-performance data centers for enterprise customers with particularly large requirements in terms of computing, storage and network performance capacities (“hyperscalers”). With its data center solutions and associated services, Green is seeking to future-proof the IT infrastructure of, among other aspects, cloud computing providers for digital innovations. Green has also provided internet and web hosting services to private customers and SMEs for 30 years now.
According to the information, in order to also offer its data center solutions in Germany in the future, Green founded Green Datacenter Germany GmbH, based in Frankfurt am Main, in September 2025. It has already initiated concrete projects here. As a further part of its growth strategy, the company is planning to further expand its position on the European market.
At the same time, however, investments will also be made on the Swiss market, as Roger Süess, CEO of Green, explains. For example, Green has “secured new land in Switzerland to support our future growth”, Süess states. In Switzerland, Green operates six data centers in the Greater Zurich Area, with a further three reportedly under construction at the moment. ce/heg
