Exentis to deliver 23 production systems to Asia
(CONNECT) With two new framework agreements in Asia, Exentis Group AG, headquartered in Stetten in the Swiss canton of Aargau, is successfully further expanding its position in Asia, one of its two most important target markets alongside the USA. According to statements, a major new customer has been gained for 15 production systems worth 22 million Swiss francs, and another customer has ordered eight systems at a price of 11 million Swiss francs. All 23 production systems are being used for the large-scale industrialized additive manufacturing of advanced consumer electronics components. The company emphasizes that these orders emphatically reflect the international scalability of its business model across a range of market segments.
“Consumer electronics is a particularly attractive market for Exentis, as high production volumes coincide with demanding requirements in terms of precision, component performance and manufacturing costs. This is where our technology platform can fully leverage its strengths”, comments Rolf Bachmann, Exentis CEO. The proprietary technology platform reportedly enables the large-scale additive manufacturing of millions of high-precision parts at an attractive cost-benefit ratio.
The foundation for this is an industrialized additive manufacturing process that allows materials to be freely selected, making it suitable for metals, ceramics, polymers and pharmaceutical or bioprinting products. It also offers extensive design freedom, which can, for example, allow component geometry to be flexibly adapted within a matter of days. The cold printing process used is described as sustainable, as it helps to conserve materials and resources. ce/ug
