BRUGG Pipes supplies flexible pipe system for Czechia’s largest shark aquarium
(CONNECT) BRUGG Pipes from Kleindöttingen, part of the BRUGG Group AG based in Brugg, both in the canton of Aargau, has delivered its newly developed ARMOPEX flexible pipe system to the Zoo Olomouc. The pipe system is being used for the heating supply of the new Loděnka Education Center, which has been under construction since March. According to a statement, the education center will offer new exhibition and learning opportunities and house the largest deep-sea shark aquarium in Czechia.
With a lecture hall, two classrooms and the new deep-sea aquarium, the Loděnka Education Center will enhance the educational offerings of the Olomouc Zoo. The ARMOPEX pipe system ensures the heating supply for the aquarium by connecting the new building to the existing heating station within the zoo area. The installation was completed within three days and BRUGG Pipes supplied a total of 560 meters of ARMOPEX 63/126 pipes. The installation was carried out by BRUGG Pipes partner PEZ Pipes.
“I am very pleased that our new ARMOPEX pipe system is already being used in such a special project,” said Martin Rigaud, CEO of BRUGG Pipes, in the statement. “The installation at the Olomouc Zoo clearly demonstrates the system’s advantages: high safety, easy installation and great flexibility for challenging route layouts.”
According to BRUGG Pipes, ARMOPEX was developed for demanding local and district heating applications. Among other things, it is characterized by high safety reserves and outstanding energy efficiency. ce/nta
